Five lakes in all are reachable from here. What separates it from the other Muskoka resort is the town. Huntsville is four kilometres away, which means groceries, a hospital, restaurants and a hardware store rather than a forty minute drive for a pint of milk. For anyone spending the whole season, or thinking further ahead about getting older, that matters more than it sounds. Bass and pike in the lakes, kilometres of trails to walk or ride, and a dock for the boat.
